How long have you been in business?
I started Terry Talbot Fine Photography as a portrait/wedding studio in 1978 after working as a fashion and documentary photographer in Madison for 5 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Wedding and portrait photography, and fine art.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I had been working as a photojournalist and fashion photographer when a friend needed a fill in wedding photographer at the last minute. I had a great time shooting the wedding, and the couple was very pleased, so I started taking wedding commissions. Today, with 30 years of experience I work primarily as a wedding photographer.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I have a long history as a documentary and art photographer, with over 30 fine art photo shows throughout the midwest.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I work primarily in Madison, Milwaukee, San Francisco and West Palm Beach, but also do international destination weddings.
