I have never written a review in my whole life, but I wish I could give Patty Cakes 0 stars!
This store has a 100% no return or exchange policy - even at the holidays!
My cousin bought my 2 1/2 year old daughter an expensive winter hat for Christmas (which we opened early). It was too small. I took it to Patty Cakes to exchange it for a bigger size. Patty Cakes said "no, we don't do that." Then, they reiterated and reiterated that the receipt was stamped in red "all sales final."
Wish they made this clearer up front, rather than on the receipt. But, they mean it, when they give you that receipt. All sales are final. No exchanges for different sizes. Just final.
My poor little girl was devastated. I have never heard of a store not allowing a customer to exchange an item for a different size. It's just mind boggling. I am so upset, and so is my daughter.
How can customer's buy gifts if they have no ability to bring them back if they are the wrong size? Seriously...how?
I contacted the owner. She was altogther unpleasant and very immature.
With policies and customer service like this, I need not write a negative review. She will drive her own store into the ground. However, I do wish to prevent other families this disappointment.
